An ice cream cafe on Norwich Market has had a revamp as winter draws in.

Gary Butcher and his daughter, Aly, have announced that they will start serving hot drinks and hot alcoholic beverages for the first time this year at the Apricity Ice Cream Parlour.

The stall has now reopened after a small renovation which has geared it up for the festive season, and will now be serving customers all year round.

Alison Donohoe, a partner at the Flamboyant Cocktail Company alongside Stacy Woods, said: "We are really excited.

"We have produced four cocktails to sell at Apricity: a hot buttered Christmas pudding rum, a hot toffee apple vodka, hot spiced pumpkin and gingerbread gin and hot flamed orange and cranberry gin.

"People get a bit fed up with mulled wine and this is something a bit different."

Gary has also invented his own alcoholic creations to sell from the stall during the festive season.

"It will melt the ice cream and create a bit of a drink."

There will also be mulled wine, mulled cider, hot toddies and Baileys coffee available to buy at the stall - as well as ice cream.

Gary added: "It is really exciting.

"I've had this stall for nine years, but we have been on the market for more than 11 years now.

"This is the first time it has changed, and it is exciting - something new for us."

Apricity will be open and serving hot drinks and cocktails seven days a week.
