Work has begun to transform a former bar and club in the city centre into a cafe.
The former Vodka Revolution in Queen Street is set to become a new cafe with a bar area under the ownership of Marcus Pearcey.
The businessman announced last month that he had taken over the site and plans to have it reopened by Christmas.
Construction has now begun to revamp the space with Mr Pearcey planning to create an all-day cafe and a bar that will be kept open into the evening.
"I thought long and hard about what I was going to do with the space at Revolution," he said.
"With the pubs and the cafes doing so well, it made sense to try to combine the two."
Mr Pearcey also owns Frank's Baps and Bakery in Old Catton, The Butcher Bhoy in the city centre and The Sole and Heel in Rackheath.
Vodka Revolution closed in August after 14 years in the Norwich street.
It came after Revolution launched a sale process and significant restructuring plans in an effort to stay afloat.
