From a new tanning salon in the Norwich Lanes to a Christmas market, here are five changes coming to businesses in Norwich this November.
1. New tanning salon
Luxe Tanning Salon is set to open in the former Chatime bubble tea shop in Dove Street.
While no official opening date has been announced, the salon has a sign in the window revealing that the site will start serving customers in November.
An announcement reads: "At Luxe, we prioritise high-quality products and services that enhance your natural beauty.
"Our state-of-the-art tanning beds feature the latest innovations, including vibra plates, body cooling, shoulder tanning, Bluetooth connectivity and more."
2. Popular restaurant expansion
The Bun Exchange, which has a space at Micawbers in Pottergate, announced it would expand into what was known as the Slice on The Lanes shop in Bridewell Alley.
The founder of the business, also known as Bun X, Jeff Taylor is opening Little Micky's which will serve cocktails and a mix of its popular burgers.
While there is no date set for the official opening, Mr Taylor is hoping to have a soft launch soon.
3. Brunch café opens
ORA Cafe started serving customers from its new home in the Royal Arcade last weekend.
The cafe sells a range of acai bowls, with a build-your-own option for those who want to pick and choose their toppings.
There is also a range of protein shakes, teas and coffees - including matcha - and toasties.
4. Return of Toys R Us
Toys R Us opened within WHSmith in Gentleman’s Walk on Saturday.
The brand disappeared from the UK high street in 2018 when the company went bust in February of that year.
It closed all of its 100 shops with the loss of more than 2,000 jobs - including its store in Norwich's Cathedral Retail Park.
However, it announced plans for a relaunch in October 2022, before striking an exclusive deal with WHSmith for concessions in their stores across the UK.
5. Christmas market at Jarrolds
A Christmas market packed with local goodies has launched in Jarrolds.
It is located on floor two of Jarrolds and it is next to the Christmas shop, which offers an array of decorations.
Both will be open throughout November and December and the market is stocked with wares from local makers and producers.
This includes jewellery, candles and art prints, alongside Jellycat toys and Jarrolds' own brand products.
