Excitement is building after businesses and organisations from across Norfolk came together at an exclusive art selection event for the highly anticipated GoGoSafari art trail.
The event took place in Norwich at Moosey art gallery where sponsors chose the design for their safari sculptures.
The GoGoSafari sculpture trail is set to launch next summer when the region will be taken over by gorillas, rhinos, giraffes, lions and elephants for ten weeks.
With around 50 sculptures on display decorated by talented artists, there will something new to discover round every corner.
The trail is organised by local charity Break in partnership with Wild in Art and the Zoological Society of East Anglia.
Ellie Edge, Break’s partnership manager, said: “There have been some really amazing designs submitted from incredibly talented artists, and I know all the sponsors had a tough time choosing.
"Now that the designs have been selected, our artists can start bringing our Big 5 to life ready to go wild on the streets next summer.
"But we always have room in our herd for more sponsors. If any business has been considering involvement, now is the perfect time to join us – there are still some fantastic designs available.”
Elizabeth Lee, partner at Birketts LLP - who have sponsored a sculpture - said: “The artwork is absolutely amazing and there are so many different styles and designs to choose from.
"We’ve been in Norwich for 20 years so we’re looking for something that reflects our values or commemorates that we’ve reached this landmark would be something that would be perfect.
"We love being part of the GoGo trails. It’s something that we know everyone enjoys and it’s all for a really good cause.”
