A dog walker nearly injured herself on a sharp metal stake she found sticking out from the ground.
The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday morning when Debra Hale was walking her dog in the Alan King playing fields in Newton Flotman before nearly stumbling over a large metal stake.
"The head was chipped and sharp," she said. "I was lucky I had good boots on or it could have ripped into my ankle."
The 67-year-old then managed to pull the stump from the ground - revealing that the stake was nine inches in total length.
"It looks like a very large nail," she said. "I think it was put in the ground to hold something down, maybe used for tethering. I'm just glad my dog didn't jump on it."

The stake has since been removed from the ground and has been branded as an incident of disruptive behaviour.
Chairman of the Newton Flotman Village Centre and Alan King Playing Field, William Ball, added: "It saddens me that anti-social behaviour like this happens on our site."
