Several pitched tents have disappeared after market traders issued a desperate plea to stop the "aggressive" and "intimidating" behaviour in a city centre garden.
For three weeks, stallholders have witnessed "violence, aggression, fighting and screaming" as a large group started gathering in the Memorial Gardens each day.
Now, after police issued a dispersal order from 7am today (Friday, November 8), the tents and group have gone and people were seen cleaning the area soon after.
One market trader said: "It is so much better.
"Everyone can relax a little bit this morning.
"We are just worried that they will come right back on Monday when the dispersal order is no longer in effect.
"Hopefully they don't."
This is the second time in the last two months that market stallholders have been privy to the anti-social behaviour.

Each time, large groups of people gathered around a couple of pitched tents in the Memorial Gardens and became increasingly rowdy throughout the day.
Stallholders said that it was driving away business.
A dispersal order gives police officers powers to hand out direction-to-leave notices to anyone acting in an anti-social manner if they have, or are likely to, contribute to the "harassment, alarm or distress" of members of the public.
