These are some of the best Christmas markets coming up in Norwich and they all have free entry.

1. Jarrolds Christmas Market

Where: Floor 2, Jarrolds Department Store, London Street, Norwich, NR2 1JF

When: Now until Christmas during shop opening hours 

New for 2024, Jarrolds has opened a Christmas market for the festive period and it is stocked with wares from local makers and producers. 

This includes jewellery, candles and art prints, alongside Jellycat toys and Jarrolds' own brand products.

2. The Assembly House Christmas Fair

Where: The Assembly House, Theatre Street, Norwich, NR2 1RQ

When: November 17, 11am-4pm

The Assembly House is hosting a Christmas market with three rooms full of stalls.

There will also be 'igloos' in the garden, a huge Christmas tree, a pianist in the Music Room and a choir singing festive songs.

3. Royal Arcade Christmas shopping event 

Where: Royal Arcade, Norwich, NR2 1NQ

When: November 21, 6pm-9pm

While not strictly a Christmas market, all the businesses in the Royal Arcade will stay open late at this special event.

The historic venue is home to an eclectic mix of independent retailers - from a gin academy to a vintage fashion shop. 

There will be various special offers, with many places offering a 10pc discount.

4. Festive Fair

Where: The Forum, Millennium Plain, Norwich, NR2 1TF

When: November 28: 11am-7pm, November 29 and 30: 10am-6pm, December 1: 10am-4pm

From pottery to preserves, there will be East Anglian stalls galore at this four-day event.

Norfolk’s own Pavilion Brass Quintet will play festive tunes outside The Forum each day.

There will also be seasonal food and drink stands and miniature donkeys will visit on Saturday and Sunday.

5. Local Makers Market 

Where: The Shoe Factory Social Club, St Mary's Works, St Mary's Plain, Norwich, NR3 3AF

When: November 29: 4pm-9pm, November 30 and December 1: 10am-4pm

Purchase unique and locally-made gifts at this three-day festive market at St Mary's Works.

The Local Makers Market will also be at The Forum on December 14 from 10am to 4pm.

6. Fierce Babe Christmas Market

Where: The Assembly House, Theatre Street, Norwich, NR2 1RQ

When: December 1, 11am-4pm

There will be more than 25 stalls from independent makers and creators who identify as women, trans or part of the LGBTQ+ community.

The items for sale will include jewellery, art prints, homewares and accessories.

7. Clutter City Winter Market

Where: Norwich Arts Centre, 51 St Benedicts Street, Norwich, NR2 4PG

When: December 7, 11am-4pm

The Clutter City Market returns for a cosy winter edition and there will be more than 25 stalls from local makers, artists and designers. 

Expect good tunes, a bar and Vietnamese food provided by Papaya Verte.
