A town road closure lasting two days to carry out water works could be extended into next year.
Loddon High Street just north of the Kittens Lane junction is set to be closed for two days from November 18-20, however, "if necessary the closure could extend until January 1 2025."
The works will be carried out by Anglian Water to facilitate meter exchange with a temporary traffic regulation order proposed by Norfolk County Council.
An alternative route will be available along the C554 High Street, Beccles Road, A146 Loddon Bypass, George Lane, Bridge Street, and Church Plain.

Pedestrian access will be maintained, with limited vehicle access allowed to certain destinations where signs indicate access is permitted.
Anglian Water said: "We can confirm we have a permit to close the road between November 18 to 20 to carry out some metering works.
"As for the extension to the road closure, it might be worth asking Loddon Town Council."
Norfolk County Council and Loddon Town Council have been approached for comment.
