From pedestrianising Prince of Wales Road to adding lanes to the ring road, there are plenty of changes that people think would help streamline Norwich.
Now locals have taken to Reddit to share their frustrations and offer ideas that could help improve the quality of life for both drivers and pedestrians.
Here are some of the road changes locals would like to see in Norwich.
Britannia Road
Britannia Road is just a stone's throw away from peaceful green spaces such as St James Hill which boasts stunning city views.
But it has also become known as a place of anti-social behaviour, with boy racers backfiring their cars and speeding up and down the length of the road loudly.
One local said: "It looks like Mad Max up there. It needs the smallest amount of work done to it.
"Maybe paint some road lines, add pavement for pedestrians and add some speed bumps to stop all the crazy speeding.
"It's a little embarrassing when you see tour buses turn up to show off Norwich and these people are just looking at an abandoned bit of tarmac."
Prince of Wales Road
Prince of Wales Road connects the train station to the city centre, making it an essential stretch for both locals and first-time visitors.
But the area dubbed as 'clubland' - known for its nightlife offerings and notorious for its anti-social behaviour - has long since left a bitter taste in people's mouths.
One local has cited Carnaby Street in Soho and the Brighton Lanes as examples of how they think the road could be done right.
"I want to pedestrianise Prince of Wales," they said. "Imagine the first impression. It could go a long way to making the city nicer.
"Imagine it with cafes, restaurants and eating outside along it lined with trees and a central cycle lane or a single road with cycle paths."
Ring road
Several changes have been suggested by locals to Norwich's ring road.
One called to: "Add a lane each way at the Sweet Briar and Mile Cross sections as a priority."
Another local said: "I'd put the inner Ring Road in a cut-and-cover tunnel, to make walking in and out of the city centre pleasant."
Magdalen Street
Between the record and antique shops, Magdalen Street is one of the busiest in Norwich.
But fears of its narrow pavements and trouble with traffic have caused city folk to call for it to be pedestrianised.
One local said: "I'd pedestrianise Magdalen Street, all the way from the Artichoke to Tombland.
"It’s my walk to work every day. There is too much traffic and the pavement is dangerously narrow."
Another added: "Not a day goes by where I don’t worry about being hit by a bus."
