A man has been arrested after police received reports of a person carrying a knife near Carrow Road.
Officers carrying weapons were seen searching Geoffrey Watling Way, next to Norwich City's football ground on Friday, November 8.
Police have now confirmed that a man in his 20s was arrested at the weekend in relation to the incident.
A police spokeswoman said: "Following inquiries a 23-year-old man was arrested yesterday and taken to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
"Max Gannon, of no fixed abode, was subsequently charged with theft from shop, possessing a knife in a public place, using it to threaten another person and using or threatening unlawful violence towards other persons.

"He is due to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court."
Police were responding to reports of a person carrying a knife in nearby Wherry Road area at 10.07am on November 8.
Four police vehicles, one of which is used to transport canine units, were parked at the Carrow Road entrance.
One onlooker spotted armed police searching the area at around 10.30am on Friday with weapons and a police dog in tow.
Gannon appeared at Norwich Magistrates’ Court earlier today and was remanded into custody ahead of his next court appearance, on December 9, 2024.
