The owner of a newly opened burger restaurant in Norwich Lanes said his “staff are buzzing” after its first week of trading.

Jeff Taylor, owner of the Bun Exchange, opened a sister site Little Micky’s in Bridwell Alley off Saint Andrews Street.

The new restaurant serves a range of cocktails and smash burgers.

Mr Taylor said: "We had an amazing launch last week and our diary is filling up really quickly.

"We've catered for a few private parties to stress test our service and the weekend was more organic and were full the entire day.

"The important thing is that every single day we're learning more about what works and what doesn't.

"The feedback we've had from guests already has been phenomenal and the staff is buzzing from it all.

"The site is such a lovely place and I'm so pleased to have moved in."

The new restaurant, which replaces what was formerly known as the Slice on The Lanes, is also running a number of giveaways and promotions to celebrate the launch.

The idea for expanding was due to Mr Taylor claiming he'd have to turn away "80 to 100 guests a week" with just the one shop.

Little Micky's will include the same staff, recipes and produce used at the Bun Exchange but includes a cocktail lounge with small tapas-like plates, sliders and popcorn chicken.
