The latest A140 closure is to cause delays and disruption for drivers as it sends them on a huge diversion around Norfolk.

The work will begin in Long Stratton at 8pm on November 18 as Norfolk County Council completes the drainage work.

An official diversion route will be put in place that, according to One Network, will take around two hours to reach the other side of the town.

Spanning more than 71 miles, it will take drivers along the A140 into Norwich before heading around the inner city ring road to the A146 in Ellingham.

Motorists will then travel along the A143 through Bungay to Scole before heading back up the A140 to Long Stratton.

The overnight closure will finish at 6am the following morning with emergency access being maintained at all times.
