An "extremely rare" NHS 50p coin which made headlines after being listed for £4,000 in Cheshire is up for grabs for just £2 in Norfolk.

The shockingly expensive coin was minted in 1988 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the National Health Service and has been listed at 8,000 times its face value in Runcorn, Cheshire

But the 50p was ranked as just "common" on the coin-collecting website Change Checker and has been found sold on eBay in Norwich for just £1.85.

The NHS coin has a circulating mintage of 5,001,000 - placing it miles behind the upper echelon of 50p coins such as the rare Kew Gardens which only had 210,000 ever made.

Last month, an eBay user in Glasgow listed a Beatrix Potter Benjamin Bunny 50p coin minted just seven years ago in 2017 for a shocking price of £150,000.

It is still unsold, with the same coin being up for grabs for as little as £1.90 in Norwich and across the country.
