Office space inside a Norwich department store has been transformed into treatment rooms and a spacious nail bar.

The Retreat has opened on the first floor of Jarrolds in London Street with New England-inspired interiors, featuring neutral colours and pastel shades.

When customers step through the door they go down a few stairs and into an open-plan space with four nail stations and two pedicure chairs.

There is also a large table and chill-out area where clients can unwind before and after their appointment.

They can buy drinks including teas, kombucha, fresh juices and wine by the glass or bottle.

Stepping through another door there are three treatment rooms.

Customers can book massages, facials, waxing and much more, with packages also available as a treat for yourself or a loved one.

One of the rooms has a shower for body scrub treatments, which will launch soon.

Jourdann Mcardle, head therapist, said: "We already had two treatment rooms and a nail bar downstairs but we have got busier over the last few years and have outgrown them.

"This new space is an expansion so we can offer more services and treatments.

"The feedback so far has been brilliant and clients say the experience is much nicer and slower paced.

"There is nothing like this in Norwich, especially in a department store."
