Luxe Tanning and Beauty Salon opens in Norwich Lanes

Luxe Tanning and Beauty Salon opened for treatments in the former home of Chatime Bubble Tea in Dove Street.

Ellie Howes, 28 from Old Catton, who owns the business, said: "I've wanted to open something like this for years. 

Ellie Howes is the owner of the new beauty business (Image: Sonya Duncan) "I've always had to travel to several different locations for my beauty treatments and this is a one-stop shop where people can get everything they want done in one place.

"My dreams have become reality and it has been very exciting."

Ellie has dreamed of having her own salon for many years (Image: Sonya Duncan) The salon has both standing-up and lying-down tanning beds, massages, nail, brow and lash treatments, aesthetics treatments (including facials, lip filler and semi-permanent makeup) and a tattoo artist specialising in small inks. 

"There's nothing quite like this in the city," explained Ellie. 

"It took five months of work at the site to get it ready for opening. 

"We can't wait to welcome more people in for a premium experience."

The salon is a one-stop shop for many different types of beauty and tanning treatments (Image: Sonya Duncan) The salon has several tanning beds, including standing-up capsules with LED lighting, Bluetooth connectivity and vibrating plates so that customers can tone their legs while tanning. 

Ellie said: "We use CollaTan sunbeds which combine the UV rays with collagen which is good for anti-aging and has skincare benefits.

"Sunbeds are great in moderation and can help boost mood - particularly at this time of year - and can help you get your vitamin D.

"We are looking to be connected with the Sunbed Association which would mean that we were recognised for safe tanning."

Walk-ins appointments are accepted and new customers can benefit from 10pc off all treatments until November 30.
