Plans have emerged to turn an empty office block near the city centre into a home.

Under the proposals, the building at the end of Grapes Hill will be transformed into a three-bedroom house.

The empty offices next to the newly opened Cloud Coffee Bar will be transformed into a three-bed home and the windows, which are in "poor condition", will be replaced.

According to One Planning Consultants, acting as agents on behalf of applicant James Reeve, the office has been empty for the last two years.

The St Benedict's View offices were previously used by charity Home Start Norwich before it was transformed into Creative Space Norwich in 2018.

A similar plan for the site emerged in July 2022 but was ultimately withdrawn, with concerns raised about the home's proximity to the Rage Rooms.

However, the Rage Rooms moved to a bigger site in Sprowston in 2023 and has been replaced by a cafe.
