A man has been arrested after a Norwich business was set on fire.

The man was arrested earlier this month after police issued an appeal following an arson attack at a Lisa Angel store in Norwich in the early hours of July 28.

The shopfront of the flagship Lower Goat Lane branch of the Norwich-based lifestyle brand, which featured Pride decorations, was damaged after it was set on fire.

Following the appeal, a Norfolk police spokesman said: "A man in his 20s was arrested on November 13, 2024 and questioned at Wymondham Police Investigation Centre (PIC) in connection with two arsons of shopfronts in Lower Goat Lane, Norwich on July 28, 2024.

"He has been issued with an adult conditional caution".

A conditional caution issued by police is an alternative to prosecution in certain cases. These may be relatively minor, but the offender must admit the offence and comply with certain conditions.

If conditions are not met, with no reasonable excuse, a prosecution may be commenced for the original offence.

As previously reported, James Moody, managing director of Lisa Angel, was shocked when he received the call about the attack.

"It's devastating for us,” he said.

"We're really trying to grow as an independent business and this is a setback."
