A missing manhole cover caused delays on one of Norfolk's busiest roads.
The cover came off on the A146 in Yelverton, near Poringland, this afternoon with a concerned local making a call to police shortly after 2pm.
When officers arrived at the scene they found that the metal cover was nowhere to be seen.

They then put up a cordon and began directing traffic around the hazard, which caused long delays for motorists.
Traffic queued as far back as Thurton with delays increasing during a busy rush hour.
The county council's highways department has been made aware of the situation.
