A crash caused delays of up to 40 minutes for drivers travelling on the A11.
The collision at Thickthorn Interchange was first reported at 5.20pm with congestion steadily building throughout rush hour as Highways closed one lane.
Drivers travelling Norwich-bound faced tailbacks of up to three miles, meeting congestion as far back as the Wymondham slip road.
Lane 1 is closed on the #A11 northbound at the #A47 #Thickthorn roundabout in #Norfolk due to a collision.

Motorists travelling southbound remained unaffected.
Emergency services including the police were at the scene to help manage traffic.
The crash was reported to have involved three cars although the injuries of anyone involved are not yet known.
The road was fully reopened shortly after 8pm.
