People were being urged not to travel by train after a track defect has been found near Norwich.
Greater Anglia told customers not to travel on its route between Norwich and Ipswich this morning.
The rail operator said that services between the two stations have been cancelled as a result of the track defect, which has since been fixed.
Speaking earlier a spokesman for Greater Anglia said: "Network Rail engineer have found a crack in a a set of points on the swing bridge just outside Norwich.
"And as a result we are unable to run over the bridge due to safety concerns.
"Network Rail engineers are working as quickly as possible to repair the fault and to restore the train service to normal.
"We will inform you when the situation has improved to a level that we can lift this advice."
Greater Anglia has since confirmed that all lines at Norwich are now open.
