From Wicked to Deadpool & Wolverine, a whole host of blockbuster films were shot in Norfolk.

These are just some of the filming locations that you can visit in the county.

1. Norfolk Tulips

Norfolk Tulips, based near King's Lynn, was used as the location for Munchkinland in the newly released Wicked film.

The colourful fields open to the public each year to raise money for charity and the 2025 dates and details will be announced next April.

2. Elm Hill

This historic cobbled street in the heart of Norwich is a popular filming location. 

This has included the fantasy flick Stardust in 2007 and Netflix's Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey in 2020.

Steve Coogan was also spotted in Elm Hill in June 2024 during the filming of the upcoming series And Did Those Feet... with Alan Partridge.

3. Holkham Estate

Holkham Hall, an 18th-century Palladian mansion, has been used for various films, including The Duchess (2008) starring Keira Knightley and Ralph Fiennes.

Hollywood A-listers Gwyneth Paltrow and Ryan Reynolds were spotted filming on Holkham Beach for Shakespeare in Love (1999) and Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), respectively.

4. Gorleston Beach 

Gorleston Beach and The Pier Hotel featured in the concert scene in Danny Boyle's Yesterday (2019) starring Himesh Patel, Lily James and Joel Fry.

It featured 6,000 local extras and across the border in Suffolk, filming locations included Latitude Festival in Henham Park and Ormiston Denes Academy in Lowestoft.

5. Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts 

Marvel blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron, released in 2015, saw the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts at the University of East Anglia turned into Avengers HQ.

Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth were all spotted on the campus.
