New plans could see a former NR3 pub turned into a convenience store and hotel.
Heath House in Gertrude Road has been vacant for several years, but could be given a new lease of life if the bid is given the green light by Norwich City Council.
This comes several months after plans to turn the building into a four-bedroom house were approved by councillors.
However, it now appears the former pub could instead be home to a new business venture.
The licensing application lodged with the city council seeks permission for the shop to sell alcohol as well as hot food and coffee until 1am seven days a week.

The proposals also outline a broader vision for part of the building to be used as a restaurant or bar and for the first floor to be turned into a hotel.
The pub first opened in 1936 and closed its doors many years ago.
Plans to turn it into a house were approved several months ago but councillors described it as a "shame" for the community to have lost the business.
The new application will be determined by Norwich City Council.
