A telecom firm wants to erect a 20-metre tall antenna mast in a Norwich suburb to help provide wider 5G coverage.
The mast would be installed on the pavement on the southern side of South Park Avenue opposite Eaton Park.
It would be erected by Cornerstone on behalf of Vodafone and would feature six antennas, one satellite dish and four ground-height cabinet boxes.
A spokesman for Cornerstone said: "There is a specific technical requirement to provide new 5G coverage in this area of Norwich.

"A streetworks style station has been found to be the most appropriate solution to facilitate this 5G upgrade to Vodafone's service."
The location was chosen because it was "as far as possible" from any nearby homes while still being close enough to population centres to be effective.
Helen Mitchell, the chair of the Friends of Eaton Park group, has raised concerns that the top of the mast would be visible from the Rose Garden, disrupting the scene.
Norwich City Council's planning committee is expected to reach a decision on the proposal by mid-January.
