Members of Chit Chat will be gathering in Norwich on Thursday (December 5) and the hunt is on for former friends to join them.
Five years ago St Stephen’s Gate Medical Practice Patient Participation Group (PPG) in the city opened the doors of the Old Hospital Chapel, and Chit Chat was formed.
The whole idea was to set up a community activity to give people of any age a friendly place to go where they could sit, have a drink and a biscuit and, more importantly, be with others, and have a chat.
A problem shared…an old saying which still rings true. The warm hand of friendship means so much.
It worked a treat. Giving people, often lonely, an opportunity to get out and meet others. And also have a laugh!
So, if you ever went along to Chit Chat over the years this is the opportunity to head off to the Old Hospital Chapel, Fellows Plain, Wessex Street, on Thursday between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
“This year with all the doom and gloom around, especially for older people, we thought it would be nice to put on a Christmas party again,” said Noreen Neal.
“We would love to get many of our visitors from over the years to come along and join us,” she added.
