A man has appeared in court accused of threatening a man and woman with a knife in Norwich.

Irandeep Malli, 34, has been charged with threatening a woman and a man with a kitchen knife at Adcock Drive, in Sprowston near Norwich, between February 15 and 18 this year.

Malli has also been accused of blackmail against the woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, with a claim he made an unwarranted demand of money from her with menaces.

He has also been charged with assaulting the man, occasioning him actual bodily harm (ABH), and assault by beating, with both incidents occurring on February 17 this year.

Additionally, Malli is accused of possession of cannabis.

Malli appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday (December 4) when he was expected to enter pleas to the offences at a plea and trial preparation (PTPH) hearing.

A provisional trial date was set for May 5 2026.

Malli, who represented himself at the hearing, was granted unconditional bail.
