Chatterbox, an audio-based newspaper created for the blind, has appointed it's new chairman.
The new man in charge, Roger Ryan, has worked as a sports and news journalist in Norwich as well as Radio Four, Five and Radio Norfolk.
He said: "An important role for me as chairman is to help spread the message about what we do.
“Chatterbox has a dedicated following but we are always looking out for new listeners."
Mr Ryan has personal experience of the impact Chatterbox can make for the people it serves, saying: “My mum listens to Chatterbox on a regular basis.
"She is partially sighted and I understand how important this service is to her.
"I’m delighted and honoured to be elected chairman of Chatterbox.
"It’s a fabulous organisation run by a dedicated army of volunteers which helps provide a key service in Norwich and Norfolk to blind and visually impaired people."
