New loan signing Marquinhos makes the bench alongside the returning Christos Tzolis for the Canaries, with David Wagner retaining the side that secured consecutive four-goal away wins in January.
Second-choice goalkeeper Angus Gunn is ruled out with a hip ailment sustained in training. The injury is "nothing serious" according to head coach Wagner, but Gunn did visit a specialist about it yesterday in London.
Veteran goalkeeper Michael McGovern replaces the 27-year-old as a substitute.
Ben Gibson has recovered from a calf issue but is absent after his partner gave birth to a son earlier this week, while Giannoulis' own recovery from a similar issue means Sam McCallum remains on the bench after a substitute appearance in Norwich's last game against Coventry.
Former Ipswich Town midfielder Liam Gibbs misses out on the matchday squad for the hosts.
Young winger Jonathan Rowe is not expected to be a first-team option until late March, after injuries to his shin and ankle left him unavailable for the first six months of the season.
The same is true of Przemyslaw Placheta (shin) and Sam Byram (hamstring), with Newcastle United loanee out long-term after a knee operation.
Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez, who scored the winning penalty the last time the sides met, misses out on an illness-hit Burnley squad.
