Norwich will travel to QPR in the League Cup first round, following Thursday afternoon's regionalised draw. That tie is scheduled to take place during the opening week of the season between the Hull and Southampton league games.
The Championship season is scheduled to start on Friday August 4 when League One play-off winners Sheffield Wednesday host Martin's Saints in his first competitive match in charge, televised live on Sky Sports.
The broadcaster has also announced the rest of its live coverage for the opening weekend. Norwich City's fixture against the Tigers has not been picked, but Ipswich will kick off their season at Sunderland on Sunday August 6. 5pm kick-off.
