Dimitris Giannoulis says no fresh talks have taken place as his Norwich City contract comes to an end this summer.

The 28-year-old will be free to leave Carrow Road on a free transfer in July as things stand, bringing an end to his three-and-a-half-year stay at the club after signing from PAOK in January 2021.

Concern has developed over the Canaries' left-back situation, with Sam McCallum also out of contract at the end of the season and third-choice Przemylsaw Placheta allowed to leave the club in the winter.

Giannoulis was coy when asked by the Pink Un whether there had been any progress, however, revealing that he and City expect to take stock after their promotion push ends.

"Not really," he said. "I'm now focusing on my injury and getting back to hopefully make the play-offs. Then after the end of the season I'm going to sit down and speak to the club.

"We are focused, and we've had control of everything until now, so yeah, [you can't let it be a distraction]."

McCallum has earned plenty of praise for his performances in Giannoulis' absence, with some calls for the latter to be benched despite his consistent starting role since moving to Norfolk.

But he's pleased with his campaign so far, even if he knows there's room for improvement.

"I think my season was quite good, to be honest," he continued. "I always want more from myself, and I can be better of course, because I've shown I can do that.

"But yeah, in general terms I'm quite happy with my performance until now. I'm really happy to see the team playing like they have been.

"We're performing good, we're brilliant. Hopefully we're going to make the play-offs, because this is the target, and I think we are in a good spot right now.

"We are all together, we're like a family. We're trying hard, we know our targets and our limits. This is the best dressing room I've ever been in."
