Pedro Lima has vowed to use his Norwich City experience to prove he can succeed in Europe with Croatian side NK Osijek.

The Brazilian midfielder has once again left Palmeiras on a loan deal, with Osijek negotiating an option to buy should his time in the Croatian top flight be a success.

Lima departed Norwich earlier in the summer having failed to have a single appearance in the senior squad under David Wagner, but did impress in a series of displays for the club's under-21 side, where he recorded five goals and two assists in 14 matches.

He featured in just one Championship squad during Norwich's 1-0 victory over Preston in April.

Despite his spell at Carrow Road, Lima is hoping to use the experience of his time in Norfolk to his advantage as he seeks to take a forward step in Croatia.

"Being a Norwich player was very useful for me in every sense because I developed and profiled myself, not only as a footballer, but I can say as a person as well," Lima told NK Osijek's official channels.

"It was my first foreign experience, which was not easy to decide on, and now I feel more confident and accept new challenges that come my way with much more confidence.

"That's how I look at coming to NK Osijek, which decided to hire me. I want to continue to prove myself in Europe."

Lima has set high expectations both domestically and in Europe after expressing excitement about his new challenge.

"I am very excited about the new season that I will spend in Osijek! I expect that we will all do it together very well and successfully.

"This means entering into the fight for the title of Croatian champion, and in the Conference League we must try to go as far as possible because I know that this is a great desire of both the people in the club and the fans," he said.

"I love being in the middle of high expectations, it only motivates me even more to be the best I can be."
