Norwich City Women found their first win under new boss Andy Cook as they beat Northampton Town 2-0 in a pre-season friendly.
Hope Strauss' second half goal added to the opener from Freya Symonds to secure the victory for City against the Cobblers, who operate in the Midlands section of the same fourth-tier league.
All five of the club's summer signings started, as well as fan favourite Megan Todd, making her second appearance of the summer after recovering from long-term injury.
The game was played behind closed doors at the University of Northampton's Waterside campus, a week on from the Canaries' 2-1 defeat to third-division Oxford United.
Cook's side managed to recover from that loss to claim a comfortable victory, gaining momentum ahead of their final three warm-up games.
They'll face Wroxham Billericay and Royston before starting their WPL Division One campaign with a trip to Dulwich Hamlet on Sunday, August 18.
