Galatasaray are willing to show patience in their pursuit of Norwich City star Gabriel Sara, according to reports in Turkey.
Links surrounding the Canaries' Brazilian midfielder have amplified in the last few days, with Gala among a host of clubs credited with an interest in the 25-year-old.
Turkish outlet Haber Turk are stating that Galatasaray wish to add Sara to their ranks this summer, but are timing their run in the hope that City's financial demands for him will reduce as the window grows older.
The report adds that Norwich are looking for an initial fee of around €20m for any move to be sanctioned, a price that is currently too rich for the Turkish champions, who have also been linked with Manchester United's Scott McTominay and Wendel from Zenit St Petersburg in their search for midfield reinforcements.
Gala Haber is reporting via their X account that Galatasaray are likely to be priced out of any move for the Brazilian however, with Sara not convinced a move to the Ali Sami Yen Spor Kompleksi is beneficial to his career at this stage.
Italian sides Atalanta and Roma, as well as Crystal Palace, Leicester and Leeds United, have also been linked with a swoop for Sara this summer.
Sara is currently with Norwich in Austria as their Championship preparations ramp up. Despite intense speculation surrounding his future, Norwich's resolve to keep the midfielder has yet to be properly tested.
The midfielder is believed to be content at Carrow Road, but Norwich do need to make at least one major sale this summer. Jon Rowe, Josh Sargent, Marcelino Nunez and Adam Idah have also had interest in them so far in this window.
Johannes Hoff Thorup has handed Sara the captain's armband throughout pre-season and was full of praise for his professionalism and ability to block out the noise surrounding his future when asked by the Pink Un earlier this month.
"He's definitely professional with a capital P. He's amazing in everything he does and that's also what we can see on the pitch whenever he performs - he has a full focus on what he can affect.
"All the other things outside the pitch with rumours and other clubs linked, I think he will leave that to the side," Thorup said.
"We’ll leave transfer rumours and stuff like that for someone else. That's not for me, that's not for Gabby, we just continue improving and I think it was obvious in the game what he can offer.”
