Teenage Norwich City striker Ken Aboh has completed a season-long loan move to League One side Stevenage.

The striker has been attracting strong interest from League One and Two sides, including MK Dons, Notts County and Port Vale, among others, but Boro have won the race for his signature.

Aboh penned a new three-year deal at Carrow Road in the summer, and a loan move away from the club is seen as the next stage of his development. He made his senior debut for the Canaries in March during a 5-0 victory over Rotherham United.

The striker is highly rated inside Colney, with a recognition that there is plenty more refinement in his game to unlock.

Aboh recorded 11 goals in 15 Premier League Two games last season prior to being involved with David Wagner's side in the latter stages of last season.

Ben Knapper fought hard to keep him at Carrow Road despite uncertainty over his future pathway. Aboh is a player that new boss Johannes Hoff Thorup rates highly.

"I think there's a big potential; some great movements, he's one of those classic strikers that are really, really good at running off the back of the defenders, you know, having these small movements in and around the box, and so on, where he's very, very clever.

"So definitely, definitely a player with a future here," Thorup said back in July. "And then, in a couple of weeks’ time, we have to find out what will be the best solution for him for the next six months and next season.”

He becomes the latest City youngster, following Dan Barden who joined League Two Swindon earlier in the day, to secure a temporary deadline day move away from Carrow Road. He will work under Stevenage boss Alex Revell - an experienced EFL striker during his playing days.

Aboh is poised to make his debut for the third-tier club against Lincoln City on Saturday. Stevenage have won, drawn and lost in their opening three games of the season as well as being knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Norwich earlier this month.
