Manchester City loanee Callum Doyle was among the five Norwich City players involved in a busy evening of international action yesterday.

The 20-year-old started on the left side of a back three for Ben Futcher's first game in charge, lining up alongside a clutch of Premier League talent as the Young Lions drew 0-0 with Northern Ireland.

Former Canary Jonathan Rowe, who was briefly a team-mate of Doyle's before joining Marseille, started up front, but was replaced by Ipswich Town's Liam Delap after 60 minutes. Doyle also came off midway through the second half, replaced by Lewis Hall in the 69th minute.

Ex-Norwich academy prospect Sean Stewart played at left wing-back for the hosts, helping them secure a surprising point in EURO qualification.

England are still in a strong position in Group F, but trail leaders Ukraine by two points and a game in hand. Northern Ireland are currently second-bottom in the group with seven points.

Kellen Fisher and Kaide Gordon also played for an English age group side yesterday, coming on as substitutes for Paul Nevin's Elite League Squad in a 1-1 draw with Turkey.

Fisher was introduced for Luton's Reuell Walters in the 62nd minute, followed by new team-mate and Liverpool loan export Gordon 14 minutes later. He replaced Millwall's Romaine Esse.

Blackpool's Dom Ballard scored an 88th minute equaliser to earn a draw in Istanbul, after the hosts had opened the scoring in the first half.

Elsewhere in Europe, Elliot Myles featured for Wales' under-18s for the second time in three days as they beat Slovakia 3-2 in the Jezek Cup.

He came on as a 66th-minute substitute, helping them to a second-half turnaround having been behind at the break. Cruz Allen got the decisive brace to take the young Dragons' total to four points from two games, with their campaign finishing tomorrow against Turkey.

Gabriel Forsyth's Scotland under-19s were also in action, beating the Faroe Islands 5-3. The City midfielder started on the bench for the Tartan Army, having played from the start in Wednesday's 2-0 win over Azerbaijan.
