Hope Strauss says she has the best of both worlds when it comes to Norwich City.

The 23-year-old features on both the men's and women's side of the club, starting regularly as a centre-back for the latter while employed as a data analyst for the former.

Ten games into her third season with the women's team, Strauss can feel the benefits of combining those roles.

"Some may say that I live and breathe Norwich City, in so many ways," she told the Pink Un. "It's amazing that I get to experience Norwich as a workplace and also as a pastime in sport.

"I get to see the first team and how they play and almost try to implement that in the style of play that we want, so it's brilliant for me.

"The experience that I've had from first team to academy, you get to experience it all. Actually listening to the coaches in the academy and the first team, you get to pick up little bits. For me, I'm trying to implement them in my own game as well."

Strauss was speaking at a fan signing session conducted by her and men's team player Christian Fassnacht at Carrow Road, her first event of the sort since signing from Loughborough Lightning in 2022.

She felt that the success of the session highlighted the growing appeal of the women's side, praising the support they've received from the club.

"It was brilliant to see so many people come out and see me and Fassi," she continued. "It shows what good support we have as a team.

"I've only been here a couple of seasons now, and even still it's growing. The number of people who are coming to Carrow Road, The Nest, every game that we're playing, it's bonkers to be honest, but amazing."
