Preston North End boss Paul Heckingbottom knows his side are in for a tough test when they face Norwich City this evening.

The Lilywhites have been in good form, winning two of their last three games while avoiding concession throughout. They head into the midweek fixture with momentum after beating Coventry 1-0 on Saturday.

Heckingbottom says a meeting with Johannes Hoff Thorup's Canaries means adaptation, however, and he's well aware of the visitors' strengths.

"Norwich pose different threats," he said. "Obviously we played before them [on Saturday], but they're in a good bit of form. I've seen their style of play evolve over the 9 or 10 games.

"We'll just prepare in the same way. We'll recover, make sure everyone's fit and well, look at the squad and see what we need to do.

"I'm not bothered how they come, we just want to get as many points as possible whenever we can get them. Obviously when we're at home we see it as an opportunity, and the next game's always an opportunity, and then you just gradually tick them off.

"The focus has changed to Norwich, after Norwich it'll then change to Plymouth. You get in that cycle, you get on that treadmill, and we just have to be really careful that we keep the freshness and we keep the energy."

Key man Brad Potts missed that Sky Blues win, but could be available for tonight's game. His manager was still undecided on his fitness after that victory, telling official club channels: "[Potts] had a shot at Burnley on the edge of the box where the lad came with his foot up. Brad hit his shot and then connected with the foot of the opponent.

"He's been fine, he's been training with it. But something gradually got worse and we sent him for a scan, which showed a slight issue there.

"He wanted to train and play [against Coventry], but I made the decision that I'd rather get him fit as soon as possible. I know I'm going to need him. I may use him [against Norwich], but if I don't then we'll certainly be using him at Plymouth."
