Norwich City executive director Zoe Webber has been appointed to the EFL board as a representative for the Championship.
Webber joins Preston North End director Peter Ridsdale and Middlesbrough chief executive Neil Bausor to represent the division on EFL-wide calls, having fallen just short in 2022 to then-Millwall executive Steve Kavanagh in a vote.
The City director has succeeded Tan Kesler, who departed his position as vice chairman of Hull earlier this month. She will continue in her role at Carrow Road whilst serving on the EFL board.
Lincoln City’s Liam Scully and Exeter City’s Julian Tagg sit as the representatives for League One, following their election to the EFL board in the summer.
Crewe Alexandra's chair Charles Grant represents League Two, whilst the remaining Board positions are held by independent non-executive directors Caroline Artis and Justine Roberts, EFL chief executive Trevor Birch and chair Rick Parry.
Webber joined City's board of directors in March 2022 and currently sits alongside majority shareholder Mark Attanasio, Rick Ressler, and Tom Smith after last week's EGM vote, which saw Delia Smith and Michael Wynn Jones stand down. She represents the Canaries at league-wide meetings.
“It is an honour to have been appointed as a Championship representative on the EFL Board," Webber told City channels upon her appointment.
"I’m looking forward to working with Board colleagues and clubs at a time when there are so many important issues to navigate. I also hope to be able to provide a fresh perspective across several key areas of our work.”
Webber's appointment will see her help shape the EFL's strategic direction having previously served as an alternate director on the EFL Board and on the EFL’s commercial committee.
EFL chair Parry hopes that Webber's experience at Carrow Road and work with the Community Sports Foundation will provide a unique perspective to future discussions.
“We are delighted to welcome Zoe onto the Board," Parry said. "In Zoe, we have someone who brings vast experience in the football industry and a sound understanding of the landscape from both a club and league perspective.
"Her background in football administration and current roles at both Norwich City and the Community Sports Foundation make her a great addition and we’re looking forward to working alongside her in the years ahead.”
