Norwich City's youngsters progressed to the fourth round of the Norfolk Senior Cup courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Sprowston.
A mixed squad of under-18s and below represented the Canaries as they stepped into this year's competition for the first time at the third round stage, and goals from Hugo Valencia Gomez and Ben Tree booked their place in the next round.
Sprowston beat UEA and Aylsham in previous rounds to set up the tie at City's Colney training centre, but the Canaries' youngsters controlled proceedings for the majority of the contest.
Both Kingston Simbai and Toby Chilvers squandered opportunities in the early stages of the contest, but Valencia Gomez gave City the lead on 34 minutes with a fine finish into the bottom corner.
Tree nearly added a second before the interval, but was smartly denied by the Sprowston goalkeeper.
City's second saw Valencia Gomez turn from scorer to provider to tee up teenage striker Tree to side-foot past the goalkeeper to double the Canaries' advantage in the second half. Sonny Rowland went closest to adding a third, but the two-goal margin was enough to secure their spot in the next round.
The draw and details for the next round will be made public in due course, with further fixtures scheduled to be played up to November 6.
