A Norwich hotel has been named among the best places to get afternoon tea in the country.
The Assembly House in Norwich was included in The Sunday Times' list of the 23 best places for afternoon tea in the UK.
The hotel sits alongside The Ritz, Fortnum and Mason and Claridge’s within the prestigious list.

Andy Lynes, who complied the article, wrote: "The high-ceilinged, panelled dining hall, hung with crystal chandeliers, makes a splendid location for a refined but relaxed afternoon tea."
In a post on Facebook, the hotel wrote: "Every single element of our afternoon teas involves so much thought and work and we are overjoyed to be in such esteemed company on such a list of greats."
The Assembly House is currently offering an Alice in Wonderland afternoon tea until March 31 and it features a pocket watch macaron, a Queen of Hearts’ stolen tarts, Mad Hatter’s savouries, and Tweedledum and Tweedledee scones.
